Easy blueberry oatmeal dog treats you can make at home

With more time at home recently, I’ve found myself in the kitchen more than normal. Which unfortunately also means more dishes to wash, but I digress…

The recipe below is easy. Honestly, I didn’t even measure the ingredients out, so the amounts below are my best estimate. Regardless, the treats were a huge hit with the dogs!

Blueberry Oatmeal Dog Treats

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour

  • 1/2 cup oatmeal

  • 1 egg

  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

  • 1/4 cup blueberries

  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

  2. Mix all ingredients with a spoon. You can add water or more flour to get the right consistency (should be doughy but not too sticky.)

  3. Spoon into baking molds. (Alternatively, you could use a rolling pin to roll out 1/4" thick, and cut out using a fun cookie cutter, OR simply scoop out spoonfuls onto a baking sheet.)

  4. Bake at 350 F for 25 min (shorter for a chewier treat, longer for a crunchier treat).
