What is Friends For Life?
Friends For Life is the only no-kill LEED-certified animal shelter in Houston. The unique programs they offer have saved thousands of animals who would be lost in the traditional shelter system. To learn more about the FFL mission and programs, see my interview or visit the Friends For Life website.
Where will the photo sessions take place?
These limited edition sessions will take place at an indoor studio near downtown Houston. The studio is located on the 2nd floor of a converted warehouse building. Free parking and restrooms are available.
What will the background look like?
There will be two neutral backgrounds - one is a darker brown, and the other is a lighter greige. I'll have a simple ottoman for your dog to sit and lay on, and the floors in the warehouse studio are rustic wood. Refer to sample images on this page.
Can you photograph my cat or other pet?
Yes, dogs and cats are welcome! For other types of pets, please check with me prior to booking so I can confirm with the studio owner.
I have more than one pet. Can you photograph them together?
No problem! Each 15-minute session can accommodate up to two pets from the same household. For more than two, please book an additional session.
Can you photograph me and my pet together?
This event is for pets only. If you're interested in a full session that includes photographs of you and your pet together, send me a note via the contact page.
What if my dog is not trained?
Don't worry! Whether your dog is hyper, lazy, outgoing, or shy, that is completely normal. Training is not required to achieve great images, although a basic sit/stay does help. Nearly all the dogs on my website are regular family pets who were photographed with their leashes on.
