Pippin and Nola - Magnolia Texas Dog Photography

It's a Tuesday morning... normally you're sitting at your desk replying to emails and preparing a powerpoint presentation.  But this Tuesday, you treated yourself to a vacation day - a workout, an impromptu brunch with your mom, a pedicure, and a good book. Not that you don't normally visit with your mom or take a few minutes to read, but the fact that today is a departure from your normal routine makes the day feel exhilarating.

That's exactly what Pippin and Nola experienced during our photo session.  These brittany spaniels are no strangers to running along the golf course or swimming in the river.  But usually Sunday mornings are a little more quiet around their house - imagine their delight when I showed up for our play date near the pond!

Want to plan a "vacation day" for your dog and create lasting memories?  Let's discuss what your dog's ideal day would be!

Cooper and Shay the Puggles - Houston Rice Military Pet Photographer

After a long day of work and sitting in Houston traffic, you walk through the front door, set your laptop on the floor, and are greeted by two of the happiest, smiling, body-waggin' dogs ever, and all your worries instantly disappear.  That's exactly what I imagine this beautiful dog-mama experiences every single day!

I'll admit, I had never heard of a puggle before.  It's a pug-beagle mix, and after meeting Cooper and Shay, I pretty much fell in love! These two puppies are inseparable and have lived in more states than I have (six, if you're wondering!)

How cute is Cooper's tail?!  Tail wags galore during our session.

And y'all know I'm a sucker for an underbite... but those wrinkles too!

Bluebonnet Review - Houston Texas Dog Photographer

It's a Texas tradition.  And I might have to revoke your Texan status if you don't have at least one picture of your family in the bluebonnets.

This year I had four puppies come out and visit me in the wildflowers on a beautiful spring evening.  And would it surprise you to know these photographs were taken inside the 610 loop?  Yes, these iconic Texas flowers pop up in our own backyard!

First up is Samantha the beagle.  Sam loves to go on walks with her mom and dad before the sun comes up and stand guard over the backyard!

Next is Lola the pit bull.  Hands down her favorite thing to do is cuddle up with her momma on the couch.

And last but certainly not least are Lane and Macy, a fabulous pair of Westies.  Lane recently finished doggie chemo and is doing great!  They both enjoy accompanying their parents on road trips and out to dinner on local restaurant patios.

They were both sooo sweet and well behaved - you'd never know from these photographs that Lane was a bit grumpy from being groomed!

Until next year bluebonnets...

If you'd like to have your dog photographed before the summer heat arrives, send me a message.  I only have a couple dates left in May.

Sasha the French Bulldog - Houston Pet Photography

Meet Sasha, a 7-year-old black Frenchie diva!  We had our session in a downtown Houston park.

This last image is one I had in my head for a while.  You see, photographers can't help but walk around and take notes of their surroundings and build up a mental list of new shots to try - whether it's a new subject, new location, new angle, new lighting, or something else.  Lucky for me, Sasha was the perfect dog to help me achieve this vision!
